GRAPE
Blaufränkisch
STYLE
Red with finesse and power
DESCRIPTION
The village of Ritzing is located on the Austrian side of the border right next to Sopron. The soil is calcareous, which gives one of the purest, most perfumed, and elegant versions of Blaufränkisch. Very feminine and charming on the nose; crisp red cherry, violet, dried herbs. But don’t be fooled by this lovely scented wine; it has a backbone and power that immediately lets you know you have something unique and complex in your glass.
WINE & DISH
Veal with Sage, Rabbit with olives, chicken in the oven, so certainly well-seasoned with white meat but also with raw beef; steak tartare, carpaccio, tagliata.
