The fourth wine from the famous "Loire pension plan"

Those who know us already knew, we have lost our hearts to the Loire. After years of commuting, we took the leap to live there at the end of 2017. After all those sips of Cabernet Franc during countless cellar visits to local winemakers, we were so eager to get started ourselves. We wanted to discover Cabernet Franc ourselves, to try our own vision of the grape, uncompromisingly. In 2018, we bought grapes for the first time from the beautiful "Clos de la bouvelerie" in Marçay, a unique place that we both fell in love with and still are.

2023 was a challenging harvest year, with a lot of disease pressure and during the week of the harvest, a lot of rain was forecasted, the big dilemma, do we wait, or do we bring it in.

Pressed and brought into barrel by gravity in our small wine cellar and left to rest for 2 years. We only use French barrels from the Loire from the small cooperage Atelier Centre France. A very lively vintage with a lot of tension in the glass. High in fruit, freshness, and love.

With all our trips back and forth to Hungary, Austria, France and Belgium, our life seemed more like a travelling circus and since we have an immense amount of fun with all our projects, it will remain so for a while ;-)

Label designed by Carlos Brito, he was born in Lisbon in 1943 and moved to Paris in 1963 for political reasons, since 1980 he has been a political cartoonist in France. He drew for ‘Le Monde’ and ‘Le Canard enchaîné’ among others until 2012. He rented our house from 2019 to 2024 and had his drawing room above our wine cellar.
